Merry Christmas, dear Oscar!
May the Lord in His many mercies bless and comfort you. I'm sorry
for the loss of your dear wife, Toby won't speak of it. You will be
glad to know that both Safiya and Simeon are adjusting well.
Maria would be so proud of them. Can you believe it's been three years
since Toby and I took in that runaway? She brings out a fatherly side
of Toby I didn't believe I'd ever see. I do hope she continues to mature
into an inquisitive, kind young woman. However- Toby seems inclined to
teach her a thing or two of the violent variety. Do swat him for me, Oscar!
What does a young woman need to use a gun for? He'll listen to you on
those matters. Anyway- all has been calm, having children in the home is
an answer to prayers- but I wish the circumstances were more positive.
Please do be patient with Simeon, I know your other sons are much older
and can handle themselves fine in the face of loss.

Also also: please see this amazing fanart I received from melaredblu who makes The Refraction of Princess Chroma & Here I Lie Awake, the latter of hers is a fantastic psych thriller that is absolutely worth the read! It's moody, delicious and super cool. The characters are very compelling and Mel handles dialogue extremely well!

and from Lorsenal who creates Cold Sweat(NSFW warning) her comic is gorgeous, and hurts my feelings. It's got strengths in its visual storytelling and the sense of dread it builds!
