"Do, or do not. There is no try"
Would she have stabbed him, or "simply" cut him up a bit/lot as a final warning?
Stabbing can be rather...permanent...if not skillfully done (organs, arteries, nerves, etc) and could cause a "fatal" lack of "resources".
Cutting him up would be a good incentive to obey - as long as Aisel believes he is salvageable...
C'mon Spell, you and I both know that's not the ONLY blade/weapon Aisel has on her body. She probably has a set of brass knuckles, a garrote, a straight-razor, a FULL brace of throwing knives (ranged attacks FTW), at leasst two other knives of different type, dimensions, and use, as well as an emergency backup strapped to her calf. Never mind the (probably) dual shoulder holsters, the "pancake" holster at the small of her back, and the (probable) backup piece strapped to her OTHER calf. This doesn't even take into consideration the armoury inside her car.
And THIS walking arsenal didn't even "gerar up" - this is her normal, every-day "clothing", like her scarlet, double-breasted suit.
IMHO, the ONLY reason you flip out a throwing knife from a concealed sheath is to prove that you can intimidate a flunky at twenty paces. It makes him think of everything else that can be concealed...
